BRANDO-TARTAN, the ‘made in Florence’ Scottish scarf

This scarf is customizable, on request and at no additional cost, with the elegant embroidery of the initial of your dog’s name, in the same color as the border. A nickel-plated metal sliding buckle allows for an original neck adjustment system.

The squared pattern of the tartan is called “sett” and is repeated throughout the fabric with a constant frequency. To date there are endless variations available, all with different characteristics and colors. The first 33 setts present in the sixteenth century had a very specific task: to distinguish the 33 “houses” of the Highlands of Scotland, that is to say the Scottish regions. Each inhabitant of each region was therefore recognized by the tartan fabric he wore.
